There are three weirs at Twineham Place Farm, all of which present a considerable barrier to fish passage upstream. Working collaboratively with the land-owner, the objective at this site is to remve all three structures – Twineham tilting gate, Twineham penstock and Rakes Barn – and re-profile the adjacent river banks. This will bring renaturalise the river and it’s flow and bring significant benefits to habitat diversity and fish populations.
