Shermanbury (ARPHA)

The three Shermanbury Mill leat structures currently currently act as a barrier to coarse fish and elvers and there is a lack of in-channel and marginal vegetation.  Also, the impoundment resulting from the weirs at Abbeylands Gate and Sakeham Farm (two of the three structures) is causing siltation and a lack of flow diversity in the main channel.  Solutions for these weirs have been considered together, primarily because of a potential bypass option and bank re-profiling around both structures.

This project has yet to be fuly costed and funded.
